In January 2008 Out and About Community Transport established a trading division called Out and About Enterprises Limited. Primarily for the purposes of future sustainability, we recognize the ever increasing demand for our services, but also the ever decreasing grants available. We want to guarantee the future of Out and About Community Transport.

Services of Out and About Community Transport
Out and About Community Transport is a charitable organization whose main aim is to provide low cost accessible transport to disadvantaged people living in rural areas.

Currently we have:

We carry out a range of trips to hospitals, medical centers, dentists, luncheon clubs. We also have a very active social car scheme with 10 volunteer drivers using their own vehicles to take clients to a wide variety of appointments.

Out and About Enterprises Limited is a social enterprise defined as Businesses with primarily social objectives whose surpluses are principally reinvested for that purpose, in our case Out and About Community Transport, rather than being driven by the need to maximize profit for shareholders and owners.

Other examples of social enterprises are the Big issue, Jamie Oliver’s restaurant Fifteen and closer to home Workspace Draperstown.

We provide coach tours, Coach Trips and private coach hire. All profits made will be re-directed back into the parent company.
